- This was a delightful read, and I plan to read her other two books. She has researched England in 1652 very well, so I learned history along with an enjoyable story. Ms. Dane has a clear style of writing and makes her characters believable which makes me want to read more.
- Memorable, enjoyable. The most depressing thing was as I was reading the Author’s Notes I discovered the book is a “third in the series.” Now I must find the first and second to read before I go looking for the fourth.
COMMENTS FROM MORWA JUDGES:
- I'm running out of superlatives...all was as it should be and more.
- Captured me from the very beginning all the way through to the end.
- The GMC, POV, action and suspense were all spot on. VERY rare to find someone who hits all of them well--even in published authors.
- I was hooked from 1st page and was disappointed there wasn't more to read.
- The opening action creates a good amount of tension.
- You built really three-dimensional characters. I love these characters already! I want to read on!
- The characters' personalities and motivations come across really well.
- I like these characters already and how the author tells their stories, in particular.
- After the first page, I would've kept reading because your writing is very good.
- Great hero and heroine! I can't wait to see how they reach their happily ever after!
